- Classes begin at 8:30am for grades 1-7 and at 9:10am for the adolescent level

Snacks
Norðlingaskóli is a health-promoting school. Students should bring healthy snacks to school.
Sports and swimming
Students wear standard swimwear in swimming classes. Students wear standard athletic clothing in physical education classes.
Swimming lessons take place at Breiðholtslaug swimming pool. Students travel by bus between the school and the pool.
Notice for leave and illness
Parents must report student illness absences in Mentor, call or email the school, or contact the homeroom teacher after the illness (1-2 days) and for any extended absence. Do not send your child to school with a written note. Absences of 3 days or longer require a separate application form.
